If you like to indulge in a beer every so often, leave your cash at home if you intend to do your drinking in a brick and mortar casino. I’m serious. Empty your billfold, your wallet, and leave all cash, debit cards and checks at home. Take just the money you intend to spend on alcohol, tipping and whatever pocket coins you plan on loosing and keep the remainder behind.
Contemptuous? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might well discover a success after a boozy evening out with your buddies and be fortunate enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that adventure because it’s as brief as it gets if you continually drink and bet. The 2 simply do not mix.
Leaving your cash at home is a bit dramatic, but preventative actions for dramatic behavior is proportionate and necessary. If you gamble to succeed, then don’t consume alcohol and gamble. If you are able to manage to toss away your money without a second thought, then drink all the free booze your gut can hold, but don’t take credit cards and chequebooks to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your drunk as a skunk brain loses all the cash!
