If the payout for a Do not Pass Odds wager is the same as the amount of the Flat wager, then the Odds bet is bridged. The part of your Odds bet that is the same as the Flat wager is put directly next to the Flat wager. Then, the rest of the Odds wager is put on top "bridging" them. As an example, let us say you put a $5 Don’t Pass bet and the shooter throws a point of eight. Knowing the true odds for the eight are six:five (for example., 6 ways to roll a 7, and 5 ways to roll an 8), you then put $6 in Odds with the expectation of winning five dollars. In this example, if you actually win the $6 Odds bet, you earn $5, which clearly equals the amount you earn with your five dollar Flat wager. Therefore, since your Flat wager and Odds bet earn the same amount (5 dollars each), you bridge your six dollars Odds wager by laying a five dollar chip exactly next to your 5 dollar Flat bet, and then putting the one dollar chip so it bridges the 2 $5 chips.

If the payoff for a Don’t Pass Odds wager does not equal the amt. of the Flat bet, then the Odds wager is heeled. This alludes to the fact that you place the first chip of your Odds wager chip stack exactly beside to your Flat bet. Then, put all remaining Odds bet chips on that individual chip but offset and angled on that bottom chip (your Odds wager chip stack is crooked due to the fact that it’s angled on the bottom chip).

Befuddled? That’s ok, do not get agitated. The dealer is always willing to help if you don’t remember. After a few times, it all makes perfect sense. It will not take too long before you are an expert. If you’re not sure what to do the initial instance you try it, basically inform the croupier, "I would like to lay some Odds but I do not comprehend if it needs to be bridged or heeled." The croupier asks, "How much do you want to put?" Let’s assume you indicate, "15 dollars to win ten." The croupier will request that you drop your chips on the table (croupiers aren’t allowed to accept anything, especially chips, right from a player), and then he properly heels or bridges them based on the amt. of your Flat wager. You’ll quickly get the feel of it. Just don’t be afraid to ask the croupier queries. Their job is not only to deal, but also to be friendly and help the gamblers.
